Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival to Kathmandu (1,350m) and transfer to hotel.

Upon arriving in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal, you'll be greeted by the bustling energy of the city. After a warm welcome, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, where you can settle in and relax. Take the afternoon to explore the nearby Thamel district, famous for its narrow streets lined with shops, restaurants, and cafés. Day 2 : Fly from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and drive to Taplejung (1,820m), 8 to 9 hrs drive by jeep.

Day 3 : Drive from Taplejung to Sekathum (1650m) by Jeep, 5 to 6 hrs drive.

Day 4 : Sekathum to Amjilosa (2,498m), 5 to 6 hrs trek.

Today marks the start of your trek, as you explore on a journey to Amjilosa. You'll cross suspension bridges and enjoy the sounds of nature, arriving at Amjilosa by afternoon. Day 5 : Amjilosa to Gyabla (2,725m), 5 to 6 hrs trek.

Day 7 : Acclimatization day at Ghunsa.

Day 8 : Ghunsa to Khambachen (4,145m), 5 to 6 hrs trek.

Day 9 : Khambachen to Lhonak (4,792m), 3 to 4 hrs trek.

Upon arriving in Lhonak, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of Kanchenjunga. Day 10 : Hike to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp Pang Pema (5,140m) and back to Lhonak, 6 to 7 hrs trek.

This day is a highlight of your trek as you make the ascent to Kanchenjunga Base Camp. The path is challenging yet rewarding, with spectacular vistas at every turn. Upon reaching the base camp, take a moment to revel in the majesty of the world’s third-highest peak. Day 11 : Lhonak to Ghunsa (3,415m), 6 to 7 hrs trek.

Leaving Lhonak behind, today’s trek takes you back to Ghunsa. The familiar landscapes take on a new charm as you descend, allowing you to appreciate the beauty of the trail. Arriving in Ghunsa, you’ll have the opportunity to relax and reflect on the incredible experiences of the previous days. Enjoy a hearty meal and prepare for the next stages of your journey.

Day 12 : Ghunsa to Selele La Kharka (4,210m), 5 to 6 hrs trek.

The trek to Selele la Kharka today involves a gradual ascent, leading you to higher altitudes and stunning mountain vistas. The landscape transforms into a mosaic of rocky outcrops and rolling meadows. As you reach Selele la Kharka, the serenity of the surroundings provides a perfect backdrop for relaxation and contemplation, preparing you for the challenges ahead.

Day 13 : Selele La Kharka to Tseram (3,68m) via Selele La Pass (4,645m), 6 to 7 hrs trek.

Today, you’ll tackle the Selele la Pass, a thrilling highlight of the trek. The ascent requires effort, but the panoramic views from the top are breathtaking. After conquering the pass, you’ll begin your descent to Tseram, navigating the rocky terrain with care. Arriving in Tseram, you’ll be greeted by the tranquil ambiance of the area, perfect for unwinding after a challenging day.

Day 14 : Tseram to Oktang/ Yalung Base Camp (4,740m) and back to Ramche, 6 to 7 hrs trek.

Day trip to Oktang/ Yalung Base Camp, where the views of the majestic Kanchenjunga massif will leave you in awe. The trek is invigorating, filled with moments of breathtaking beauty. After exploring Oktang, you’ll return to Ramche for the night, reflecting on the incredible landscapes you’ve witnessed.

Day 15 : Ramche to Tortong (2980m), 6-7 hrs trek.

The elevated snow-capped mountains behind us and the walk through the rhododendron forests give us tranquility. Our trek starts downhill and ends at Tortong passing through Simbuwa Khola with enchanting views of the Himalayas en route. We will stay overnight at Tortong. 

Day 16 : Tortong to Yamphudin (1692m), 6 to 7 hrs trek.

The trek to Yamphudin takes you through picturesque landscapes, where you may encounter local wildlife and unique plant species. As you arrive in Yamphudin, the village ambiance invites you to experience the local culture. Enjoy the lush greenery and vibrant surroundings, and reflect on your incredible journey through the Kanchenjunga region.

Day 17 : Drive from Yamphudin to Ilam (140m), 6 to 7 hrs drive.

Today, you’ll drive from Yamphudin to Ilam, a journey that showcases the shifting landscapes of Nepal. As you travel, take in the views of tea gardens and rolling hills. Upon arriving in Ilam, known for its tea plantations, you can explore the area and perhaps enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea as a soothing conclusion to your trek.

Day 18 : Drive from Ilam to Bhadrapur and fly to Kathmandu, 2 to 3 hrs drive.

The final leg of your journey takes you back to Bhadrapur. After a scenic drive, you’ll board a flight back to Kathmandu.
