Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Drive from Kathmandu (1,400m) to Machhakhola (930m), 7 to 8 hrs.

After an early breakfast, Drive to Machhakhola, which takes approximately 7 to 8 hours. The journey winds through picturesque landscapes, passing traditional villages and lush valleys. Upon arrival at Machha Khola, relax in the serene atmosphere by the riverside, and prepare for the trekking adventure that lies ahead.

Day 2 : Machhakhola to Jagat (1,410m), 6 to 7 hrs trek.

Your trek begins today, taking you from Machhakhola to Jagat. The trail follows the banks of the Budi Gandaki River, and you’ll navigate through beautiful terraced fields and dense forests. After a rewarding 6 to 7 hours of hiking, you’ll arrive at Jagat, a charming village with stunning views. Settle into your lodge and enjoy a warm meal.

Day 3 : Jagat to Dyang (1,800m), 6 to 7 hrs trek.

Continuing your journey, today’s trek takes you from Jagat to Deng. As you ascend, you’ll pass through lush forests and quaint villages, witnessing the local culture along the way. After 6 to 7 hours of trekking, you’ll reach Deng, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this small village nestled in the hills.

Day 4 : Dyang to Namrung (2,660m), 7 to 8 hrs trek.

Today’s trek leads you to Namrung, a significant ascent that brings you closer to the Manaslu region. The trail offers breathtaking views of the mountains and rich vegetation. After approximately 7 to 8 hours of hiking, you’ll arrive in Namrung, where you can enjoy the local hospitality and take in the stunning scenery surrounding the village.

Day 5 : Namrung to Syalagaon (3,520m), 6 to 7 hrs trek.

The trek from Namrung to Shyalagaon, situated at an altitude of 3520 meters, is a captivating journey that unfolds the breathtaking landscapes and cultural richness of the Manaslu region in Nepal. Starting in Namrung, walkers follow a pretty path through green forests, where they can see amazing views of the mountains. The trail goes through the lovely village of Lho, with its traditional Tibetan-style houses and old monasteries.

As walkers go up to Shyalagaon, the scenery changes, and they can see the tall peaks of the Manaslu Mountains. The trek takes about 6 hours and is a great mix of enjoying nature and learning about the local way of life. Shyalagaon, high up with wide views, is a peaceful spot for walkers to take in the beauty of the Himalayas and feel the calm of the mountains.

Day 6 : Shyalagaon – Pungeen Gumba – Samagaon (3,530m), 6 to 7 hrs trek.

Trek from Shyalagaon to Samagaon, nestled at an elevation of 3,530 meters, is a captivating journey through the stunning landscapes of the Manaslu region in Nepal. Starting from Shyala Gaon, trekkers embark on a roughly 6 to 7 hour adventure that leads them through the scenic route via Punggen Gumba.

Pungeen Gumba is a quiet Buddhist monastery along the Manaslu Circuit trek. It’s at a high place, about 3,600 meters up in the mountains. This place gives trekkers a calm and peaceful break in the beautiful Himalayan scenery. The monastery is known for its spiritual feeling and great views of the mountains around it. Going to Punggen Gomba lets you learn about the local culture, with special flags waving in the wind and traditional ceremonies to see. People walking the Manaslu circuit often feel comfort and peace at Punggen Gomba, making it a part of the journey to remember.

Day 7 : Acclimatization at Samagaon.

The acclimatization day is a crucial pause in the trek, offering trekkers a chance to adjust to the higher altitudes encountered along the Manaslu Circuit. This designated day allows for a strategic break, ensuring a safer and more comfortable ascent. Trekkers have the option to embark on a side trip to either Manaslu Base Camp or Birendra Lake, both providing unique and breathtaking experiences. The journey to Manaslu Base Camp unveils panoramic views of the iconic mountain, while Birendra Lake offers a serene setting surrounded by Himalayan splendor. Day 8 : Samagaon to Samdo (3,690m), 3 to 4 hrs trek.

Today, you’ll trek from Samagaon to Samdo. The trail is relatively easy, allowing you to appreciate the breathtaking views along the way. After a 3 to 4 hour trek, you’ll arrive in Samdo, a small Tibetan village with spectacular mountain views. Settle into your lodge and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

Day 9 : Samdo to Dharamshala (4,470m), 3 to 4 hrs trek.

Leaving Samdo, you’ll trek towards Dharamshala, ascending through alpine meadows and rocky terrains. The trail takes about 3 to 4 hours, and as you approach Dharamshala, you’ll be greeted by stunning views of the surrounding peaks. This campsite is also known as Larkya Phedi, a perfect spot to rest before crossing the pass.

Day 10 : Dharamshala to Bimtang (3,720m) via Larkya La Pass (5,160m), 8 to 9 hrs trek.

Today is one of the highlights of your trek as you cross Larkya La Pass, standing at 5,160m. The ascent is challenging but offers breathtaking views of Manaslu and its glaciers. After reaching the pass and soaking in the incredible scenery, you’ll descend to Bimthang, where you can relax after a strenuous day of trekking.

Day 11 : Bimthang to Gho (2,550m), 6 to 7 hrs trek.

The trek from Bimthang to Gho is a picturesque journey, spanning approximately 7 hours and descending to an altitude of 2,550 meters. As trekkers set out from Bimthang, they are immersed in the stunning landscapes of the region, featuring lush greenery and breathtaking mountain views. The trail winds through varied terrains, offering glimpses of the natural beauty that characterizes the Manaslu trek. Gha, situated at 2,550 meters, serves as a tranquil destination where trekkers can rest amidst the serene surroundings.

Day 12 : Gho – Bagarchhap and drive to Chame (2,670m), 3 to 4 hrs trek/ 2 hrs drive.

From here onwards we join the classic Annapurna trail. From Gho we descend first then cross a suspension bridge and ascend until we reach Thoche village. After which we follow a fairly straight trail and come across a Power House for electricity production in Bagarchhap village then we take jeep to get Chame. It takes about 2 hours drive. 

Day 13 : Chame to Upper Pisang (3,300m), 4 to 5 hrs trek.

Today’s trek takes you to Upper Pisang, where you’ll experience some of the best views of Annapurna II. The trail is moderately challenging and takes about 5-6 hours. Upon arrival in Upper Pisang, you can explore the village and take in the stunning mountain scenery.

Day 14 : Upper Pisang to Manang (3,540m), 7 to 8 hrs trek.

Leaving Upper Pisang, you’ll trek towards Manang today. The trail ascends gradually, and after about 7 to 8 hours, you’ll reach the vibrant town of Manang. This town is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich culture. Take time to explore the area and visit local monasteries.

Day 15 : Exploration day in Manang (3,540m).

Spend the day exploring Manang, visiting the local shops, or taking short hikes to viewpoints. This day will help ensure a safe trek ahead as you prepare for higher elevations.

Day 16 : Manang to Ledar (4,200m), 4 to 5 hrs trek.

Today, you’ll leave Manang and trek to Ledar. The trail ascends gradually through beautiful landscapes and alpine meadows. After about 4 to 5 hours of hiking, you’ll arrive at Ledar, a small settlement that offers a serene atmosphere for relaxation.

Day 17 : Ledar to Thorung Phedi (4,525m)/ Thorung High Camp (4,925m), 4 to 5 hrs trek.

As you trek from Ledar to Thorung Phedi, the trail ascends significantly. Depending on your pace and preference, you may choose to stay at Thorung Phedi or continue to Thorung High Camp for a higher elevation. Both locations offer stunning views and a chance to prepare for the Thorung La Pass crossing.

Day 18 : Thorung Phedi to Muktinath (3,760m) via Thorong La Pass (5,416m), 9 to 10 hrs trek.

Today is the highlight of your trek as you cross Thorung La Pass, one of the highest passes in the world at 5,416m. The ascent is challenging, but the views from the top are absolutely breathtaking. After descending to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the temples and take in the unique atmosphere.

Day 19 : Drive from Muktinath to Pokhara (822m), 7 to 8 hrs.

Today, we drive to Pokhara, which takes approximately 7 to 8 hours. As you journey through the scenic countryside, reflect on your trekking experience and the memories created.
