Today is dedicated to necessary preparations for your trek. After breakfast, you’ll meet your trekking guide for a briefing about the itinerary and the challenges you may face on the trail. This is also the day for obtaining your trekking permits, including those for the Kanchenjunga and Makalu regions. Spend the afternoon visiting nearby attractions such as the Swayambhunath Stupa and Durbar Square, soaking in the rich history and culture of Nepal.
An early morning flight takes you from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur, where you’ll be greeted by stunning views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, you will drive to Ilam, a picturesque town known for its lush tea gardens and rolling hills. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours.
